Built on proprietary technologies such as Direct Digital RF, Adaptive Digital Pre-Correction, and Echo Cancellation, the company has independently developed a full range of high-performance digital TV transmission equipment. As a leading supplier in the digital broadcast market, Anywave offers transmitters across all power levels—low, medium, and high—as well as across all frequency bands, including VHF Band I, Band III, and UHF, with both air- and liquid-cooled options.

Where We Are
Based in Vernon Hills, Illinois, just outside Chicago, we maintain a ready-to-ship stock of over 150 pre-tuned transmitters. Our experienced field engineers—bringing over 100 years of combined broadcast expertise—provide comprehensive parts, service, and support. David Neff
General Manager/Eastern US Sales
David Neff has been a part of the broadcast and electronic media industry for over 35 years. He started his career as a station engineer at WTOV in Steubenville, OH, and then held design engineering and technical positions with Tektronix, Inc., Harris Corporation, and General Electric. He joined the small startup ITS Corporation as a Product Manager in 1986. He then helped to grow the company from an exciter and small transmitter company through various names and ownership groups (ITS, ADC-ITS, and Axcera), and into a major transmitter company with a broad line of transmitters at all power levels with worldwide sales. He served as president of Axcera for 11 years.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Point Park University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Syracuse University. He has presented at many technology conferences in the US and worldwide. He holds one US patent.
Irvin "Tee" Thomas
Sales Manager - Western US
Tee began as an Broadcast Engineer in the 60’s. Most recently, he was the Chief Engineer of a small TV station group operating in West Texas and New Mexico. Tee decided to use Anywave transmitting equipment in switching from another supplier. After years of successful operations of the Anywave equipment, Tee joined Anywave as the Western sales manager in 2018.
Frank Massa
Sales Manager - Asia Pacific
Frank Massa has been in the Broadcast and Communications Industry for over 3 decades. Frank has worked in Direct and Channel Sales in the APAC Region for Anywave Communications, Broadcast Electronics, Comrex Corporation, Digital Microwave Corporation and the Elenos Group. Most recently he has specialized in DTV, FM and AM RF products as well as Studio Production, Automation and Studio to Transmitter networking. Frank participated in the NROTC program at Illinois Institute of Technology and graduated with two engineering degrees. Frank resides in Thailand with his family.
Ted Karam
VP of Engineering
Ted Karam is the VP of Engineering at Anywave. He has worked in the professional broadcast industry for the last 20 years and was previously the Director of Engineering for Comark.
Over the course of this time, Ted has led R&D and product design programs for next-generation digital TV transmitters. He has functioned as the product line and program manager for coordinating development initiatives, overseeing transmitter product development from concept to production. Ted has participated in a variety of transmitter program applications including mobile TV trials with PBS, DTV field reception studies with NBC, SFN system implementation and test at the Empire State building in NYC, and particle accelerator systems with Brookhaven National Labs.
Ted has developed and taught digital TV customer training classes, with an emphasis on digital exciter technology. He has written and delivered numerous technical papers and presentations at NAB, IEEE, and SBE events, and is a published author.
Ted’s previous background and experience are in the area of digital signal processing and software development in the aerospace and consumer audio industries where he worked for Raytheon and Krell. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
Mike Roosa
Sales Manager - Eastern US
Mike started in the broadcast industry right out of graduate school in 1982 working for EMCEE Broadcast Products as an applications engineer. After several years at EMCEE, he joined Comwave, a microwave transmitter manufacturer, and was eventually responsible for worldwide sales with active markets in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
In 1995 Comwave was acquired by Thomson and merged with Comark to create Thomcast, where he became part of the national broadcast sales team and responsible for high power transmitter sales, encoding and ATSC 3.0 solutions and the scientific product line. His 40+ years of experience has included high and low power transmitter and translator systems, high power CW and pulse amplifiers used in light sources and linear accelerators, and all aspects of signal processing between studio sources and transmitter inputs.
Mike lives with his wife Shelli on a 60-acre angus ranch in Pennsylvania and spends a great deal of time with his 3 children and 7, soon to be 8, grandchildren. They are an avid high school and college wrestling family.
