Gap fillers: Advancements in technology and regulations enable deployments
Gap fillers (on channel repeaters) have been around for years, but have not been widely deployed in the US. Recent advances in echo cancellation technology, the availability of ATSC 3.0, and a new regulatory framework promises to change that in the near future. In this paper we review the basics of gap fillers and provide an update on current technology and regulations that make them viable.

Air Cooled versus Liquid Cooled TV Transmitters: A New Review
One of the more significant operational costs faced by broadcasters has always been the cost of purchasing and then operating the transmitter. This is true for both high power and low power TV stations. Over the past 20 to 30 years, advancements in both tube and solid-state designs have resulted in steadily increasing reliability and efficiency, lowering the costs associated with both maintenance and power consumption. In this paper we discuss various costs, ROI and TCO to consider.
